Frequently Asked Questions
1. How long does a full vehicle wrap take from start to finish?
A full vehicle wrap typically takes 2–4 days, depending on the size of the vehicle and the condition of the paint. We inspect, clean, prep, and decontaminate the surface before installing the vinyl to ensure a smooth, long-lasting finish.
2. How long does a vinyl wrap last in New England weather?
A high-quality wrap installed by a professional usually lasts 5–7 years, even with Rhode Island winters. Parking indoors, regular cleaning, and avoiding harsh automated car washes can extend the lifespan.
3. What brands of film do you use?
We use premium films such as 3M, Avery Dennison, KPMF, Hexis, and Orafol, depending on the design and finish. These brands offer the best durability, warranty, and long-term performance.
4. Will a wrap damage my original paint?
No — as long as the paint is in good condition before installation. Vinyl wrap actually protects the paint from UV, road debris, and oxidation. If the paint is peeling or failing, we’ll let you know before the install.
5. Can you wrap over scratches or small dents?
We can wrap over light surface scratches, but dents, chips, or peeling paint will show through the vinyl. We always recommend correcting these before the install to get the cleanest possible finish.
6. How do I care for and wash a wrapped vehicle?
Hand washing is best. Avoid automatic brushes, harsh chemicals, and high-pressure close-range sprays. Use a pH-neutral soap and microfiber towels to keep the wrap looking new. Avoid products that contain ANY Carnauba Wax.
7. Can you remove a wrap, and does it leave residue?
Yes, wraps can be safely removed without damaging factory paint. Premium films remove cleanly with heat. Old, expired vinyl may leave adhesive, but it can be cleaned off using the proper techniques.
8. Do you offer satin, gloss, matte, metallic, or textured finishes?
Yes — we carry a full range of finishes including matte, gloss, satin, pearl, metallic, brushed metal, carbon fiber, color-shift, and chrome-style films.
9. How durable is vinyl compared to repainting?
A paint job is permanent. Vinyl wraps provide paint-like appearance but offer removability, lower cost, and more finish options. Wraps also protect paint rather than permanently altering it.
10. Do you warranty your wraps?
Yes — Enigma Wraps provides an installation warranty, and most films come with a manufacturer warranty lasting up to 5–7 years depending on the brand.
Pricing and Booking
1. What factors affect the price of a wrap?
